STATEMENT (Minneapolis, Minn.) – As the end to this devastating week nears, Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid remains in a place, unimagined — helping victims on the frontlines of a federal siege. Our legal teams live and work largely in Minneapolis, but we also live and work in St. Cloud, Willmar, Duluth and Mankato, and no one’s life is untouched.
STATEMENT: (Minneapolis, Minn.) — Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid extends profound gratitude to the Advocates for Human Rights and attorneys at Berger Montague. In these crucial hours, their litigation work led to the Temporary Restraining Order issued Wednesday, Jan. 28 by U.S. District Judge John R. Tunheim. This has put a critical stop to the illegal seizure and detainment of our refugee clients.
