Join the fight for justice

Why work with us?

At Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, the work we do is more than a paycheck. It’s about helping our most vulnerable community members: the parent and children who need to leave a violent home; the neighbor who just lost a job and needs help getting health care and unemployment insurance; the grandparent in need of a Health Care Directive. It’s about justice and inclusion for our clients and coworkers and making a difference in our communities.

Employee Benefits

  • Hybrid Work Environment
    Work-from-home opportunities for eligible staff.
  • Half-Day Fridays
Employees are paid for five full days of work but enjoy Friday afternoons off.
  • Robust Insurance
Plans include family medical and dental insurance, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, FSA and employee assistance programs. Coverage begins on your first day of employment, with Legal Aid paying a significant portion of the premiums for employees and their dependents.
  • 403(b) Retirement Plan
Make contributions to a Pre-Tax or Roth 403(b) retirement account. Legal Aid matches $0.25 for each dollar you put in up to 24% of gross pay. We make an additional employer contribution of $1,000/yr. after one year of employment.
  • Flexible Leave Policies and Paid Vacation
We believe the best employees are happy and healthy. Generous paid vacation, personal holidays and sick time are just one way we invest in the overall health and well-being of our workforce.
