Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee Form

The Minnesota Disability Law Center is looking for new volunteer members to join our Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee. We are looking for people who have lived experience with developmental disabilities. Members need to live in Minnesota.

The committee helps advise the Disability Law Center on important issues like case selection priorities, protecting against abuse and neglect, supporting disability rights, and making sure people with developmental disabilities have access to the services and support they need in education, health care, social services, and employment. Committee members include people with developmental disabilities, their family members, advocates, legal representatives, and service providers. Meetings are held virtually every three months for an hour and a half.

If you have questions or need help to apply, please contact new MDLC DD Council Co-chairs Yumma Moore and Sumbal Mahmud at ymoore@mylegalaid.org and smahmud@mylegalaid.org
