FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: (Minneapolis, Minn.) — The Minnesota Disability Law Center of Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid is recruiting new members throughout Minnesota to serve on its Mental Health Advisory Council (PAIMI Advisory Council). No experience necessary, but a passion for mental health issues is required. Diversity, too, is highly valued.

At meetings, currently held online, three times a year, members will work with MDLC to share information, address concerns and consider barriers encountered by youth and adults with mental health issues. Prospective candidates are encouraged to consider the following questions:

  • Are you interested in a leadership opportunity with the ability to make a real impact?
  • Do you have insights to share about mental health and mental health systems?
  • Are you willing to help MDLC bring focus to mental health advocacy by participating in meaningful discussions?
  • Are you willing to learn from others in a collaborative setting?
