Barry Segal and sign language interpreter sit and answer questions posed by a news reporter who is also seated.

Barry Segal who identifies as Deafblind, filed 150 complaints with Metro Transit for passing him by and failing to pick him up. In March of 2022, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with Legal Aid’s Minnesota Disability Law Center that Segal’s case presented compelling evidence of violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act. In this KSTP investigative piece, Reporter Ryan Raiche deftly presents Barry’s experience, pulling together court documents, video evidence and allowing Barry himself to explain what it’s like relying on public transportation as a person with disabilities.
