Support Legal Aid—100 years of protecting rights
and improving lives in our community.
The number of people seeking legal help and the range of problems they face continue to grow while funding and resources have declined. Your support allows us to meet these increasing demands. When you contribute to Legal Aid,
you contribute to a stronger community.
Law Day Dinner
Attend the Dinner— a thirty-year tradition—where lawyers and loyal supporters congregate to recognize those who make Legal Aid possible and raise much needed resources to support our cause.
Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid
Legal Aid depends on generous donors like you to help us protect rights and improve lives. Your donations:
- Keep families safe
- Preserve their shelter
- Enable seniors and people with disabilities to remain independent.
The Fund for Legal Aid
The Fund for the Legal Aid's One Hour of Sharing Campaign generates private support from the legal community. The One Hour of Sharing Campaign gives you an opportunity to make a difference. Your support helps Legal Aid provide legal advice and representation to more than 10,000 families and individuals each year.
What people are saying...
“I found myself in a very difficult position and don’t know what I would have done without the wonderful help from Legal Aid! Everyone was so nice, and so helpful, and gave me information and support I really needed.”Joe Smith, Legal Aid client
“I’m almost ashamed to say, I never thought about Legal Aid before I needed help. I’d heard of it, but I never thought about how the lawyers get paid or where that money comes from. The donors were invisible to me. I’ll tell you this — they’re visible to me now! I am so grateful for the generosity — for all those people who made it possible for Legal Aid to be there for me and my daughter.”Lauree Ovshak, Legal Aid client
“To look at the good that Legal Aid does gives me greater hope…they believed in me and the people like me and provided us equal access.”Cuong Nguyen, Legal Aid client
“Every penny, every ounce of energy that goes from the community to support Legal Aid — it really changes lives. Helping me find my dignity, so I can hold my head up as I go about rebuilding my life — there’s no way to repay that. It means everything.”Angie Vogel, Legal Aid client
