Deputy Director

Ann Cofell has been a deputy director at Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid for more than 30 years. She manages both the St. Cloud and Willmar offices that cover primarily rural service areas across Central Minnesota. Ann has been a critical partner with the Stearns and Mille Lacs County Domestic Violence Courts to provide safety for domestic violence victims, and leads Legal Aid’s Justice Bus work, which brings a mobile Legal Aid office directly to rural communities. Ann serves on the Commission for Judicial Selection. Ann is a 1992 recipient of the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Bernard P. Becker Award, and the 2015 ATHENA Award from the Women’s Fund of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation. Ann is a graduate of the College of St. Benedict and Cleveland Marshall College of Law.
