More recognition for the Stearns County Domestic Violence Court

Stearns County Domestic Violence Court has received statewide recognition for the second time in two months. The domestic violence court focuses on the 30-40 felony offenders each year who are committing up to three new felony-level domestic violence offenses apiece. Its addresses offender accountability and victim safety. It has redefined how services are provided for victims and has placed a priority on better results for children. The lead prosecutor handling the criminal side of these cases has said that the project wouldn't work without Legal Aid.
